reSITE 2017's  today's sessions have started with the world-renowned woman urbanist Caroline Bos' lecture presenting UNStudio's focus and works on a network infrastructure. Caroline Bos, Art Historian and co-founder of UNStudio, has presented UNStudio's networking design strategy with several illustrations, analytic tools and new mediums over the studio's recent projects completed in different cities of the world including Arnhem Central Station in Netherlands, Mercedez-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany and Raffles City in Hangzhou, China - which nears completion.

UNStudio presents itself as a network of specialists in architecture, urban development and infrastructure. Bos' presentation showed how the studio's design approach became more experimental and expanded the studio's workfields by embedding extensive research and new technological inputs. Defined as a 'sharing knowledge' and 'networking theory'  by Caroline Bos, the studio's basic working principle investigates new form of control in different layers. 

"To design a successful infrastructure, architects should form their networking interaction map that needs to be worked separately and connected to each other," said Caroline Bos during her presentation.

"UNStudio's main goal is always interested in designing and understanding future cities for people", added Bos. 

Caroline Bos has also shared her thoughts about Arnhem Studio's design philosophy showing that how the building has changed the future of transportation. Bos also talked about what kind of new technologies they have used in their specific projects to consider alternative structural dangers for possible uses in the future.
